NEW YORK! NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the (usual) long absence...
I spent some time up in New York visiting my grandparents...and their internet is SLOW. Tortoise pace. No kidding. I wasn't even going to ATTEMPT to update from there. But despite the lack of internet I DID get a chance to do some shopping for school! And after that I was away at a leadership conference. With no computers. BLAH...
SO I AM BACK! And (hopefully) be posting regularly again now! YAY!!!

While I'm thinking of it I thought I would share my latest photo editing project...
I've been working on taking black and white pictures and adding color.
Just because I thought it would be a fun challenge. What do you think?

PEACE!

Look Mom! NO PANTS!

As of late, I've been suddenly attracted to the whole shorts romper look.
Its suprising, because I used to be rather disturbed by Lady GaGa and Katy Perry when they would wear these crazy sans-pants outfits.
But now I want one.
Maybe because its summer and it finally seems like a reasonable outfit?
Or maybe because these ones aren't QUITE as short as those worn by Katy Perry and Lady GaGa?
I don't know.
All these are from Urban Outfitters
I'm thinking about gettin one of these...I really want to go to the store so I can see which one looks best on me...cause I have more boobs than any of these girls...

However, I still think pants rompers are rather disgusting. Maybe with some accesories they would be acceptable, but alone...just BLAH!

Maybe with a nice belt at the waist or a cute blazer this would look decent.

What do you guys think: To romp? Or not to romp? (haha. I had to go all Shakespeare on that.)

It Almost Makes You Want To BEG For Poor Eyesight!

I recently found this website that has THE most amazing glasses frames EVER!
The website is called Prism London and I first heard of them through Nylon about three months ago. At that time, the website was under consruction...which was disappointing...but now they have all kinds of info up including some AMAZING glasses frames.
Its the shapes that I like the most...most glasses nowadays are so boring. They're either black thick frames (like mine...which I rarely wear because I have contacts)...or really thin ones, which I hate with passion. And the shapes are dull.

There's 5 unique styles of glasses on the website, each named after a big city:
London

New York

Paris

Rio

Rome

I definately cannont decide on a favorite! Gr, I would LOVE to get my hands on a pair of these...unfortunately I just got new frames about 4-5 months ago and my parents won't go for it. :(

I'm A Terrible Person

Oh dear.
I am so sorry I lied to you all.
I'm sorry I've been gone for so long...
But I just didn't realize school would get so hectic as the end of the year got closer!
If you are reading this at all, I seriously love you for not forgetting me.
Ugh...
I don't even know how to make up for this, but I figured I should share my "The Girl With The Pearl Earring" edit, since I promised!

Before:

After:

Not quite as good as Snow White, but nevertheless fun to do!
I really want to try some more of these...
Any suggestions?

I am TOTALLY exhausted, but it went AMAZINGLY well! I will be back to regular posts within a couple days!
Much Love,

Some Day My Prince Will Come...

First day back at school after Spring Break.
Honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Which was definately good because I was DREADING going to school.

Anyways...on to more interesting things...
I made this coolie photo for this contest Picnik is having on Flickr.
The theme was "Picnik Goes To The Movies".
So I dressed up/edited myself to look like Snow White! =]
Before:
After:

It was VERY fun to do. I'm also working on one of myself for "The Girl With The Pearl Earring." I'll post that too once its done. =]

Also, I've decided to order the cute Converse for now. I might get the other ones sometime later though...because they are also pretty amazing. (By the way, they're both from Journeys to the person who asked=])

TTYL!

What the UGG!?

Oh my.
I was perusing through Journeys Spring catalogue this morning and found something utterly disgusting.
$50 FLIP FLOPS. But not just any flip flops, UGG flip flops! I I thought to myself, "WHY would any idiot spend that much on such a boring pair of FLIP FLOPS? If I really so desperately desired a pair of flip flops I could go down to Old Navy and buy 2 pairs for $5. However I'd be far more likely to invest in an actual PAIR OF SANDALS.

So I ask...would you pay $50 for these?

Also I'm trying to decide between these two pairs of shoes for my birthday (which is April 29!):

Which do you think I should get? I just can't decide!

And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going!

Seriously! I'm not, I promise!
My parents have banned me from the computer for the last 4-5 days since my room is less than clean (*cough* absolutely disgusting) and said I'm not allowed to use the internet until its done.

Well... its not done. But currently I'm working on a Biology assignment and figured that while I was at it I would make a brief post, because who knows how long it will be until I can get online again! (If you'd seen my room, you'd understand...)

Peace. =]

P.S.
This is my robot, Billie! (Don't ask, it was the first thing that popped in my head!)
I made him when I volunteered at this Arts Festival a couple weeks ago, and me and my friend Kara helped kids make cute buttons! Isn't he adorable?

Polka Dots & Red Hots

I watched the movie Appaloosa the other day. Don't watch it. The ending is horrible and the characters backstories are never fully explained. Ugh, I was so disappointed because a friend of my dad's had said it was, "Soooooooooooooooooooo good." It was not. The acting was good, but the rest of it SUCKED.

Also today in my drama class we started watching Twilight to "study the characterization" (sureeeee...) and I noticed that on the back it said: "The most epic love story since Titanic." Dude, I almost threw up. COMPARING TWILIGHT WITH TITANIC!?!?!?! That's just a no-no. Titanic is pretty epic. Twilight...not so much. Its okay, just not epic.

As promised almost a week ago (shame on me) pictures of my purple-paint splatter keds!
At first I was gonna do all different colors, but then I decided I liked the purple by itself.

Also, my outfit from yesterday! I love wearing red lipstick and I thought this outfit was perfect for it! This jacket was such a lovely deal. It was $6 at Hot Topic during the summer! Gotta love them salessssss. Isn't the grass just gorgeous? Its finally green!
And random photo of myself being dramatic! I found it rather unreal looking...even though the only thing I had edited was the warmth, since the picture originally was too cold. I really love taking self-portraits like this...its just fun! I'm going to try to pay a little more attention to my blog as lately I've been neglecting it...
Hopefully my amount of homework won't get in my way.
=]
P.S. Aren't these Disney Princess magnets just adorable! They're from Shana Logic and I REALLLLLLLY want to get them! And I would if I wasn't broke...

Singing The Same Chorus To A Song That Hasn't Even Been Wrote

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I did wear green to avoid the pinchs!!!! Hope you guys did!
As promised, haircut pics!!!!

Right After My Hairstylist Did It:
How I Did It The Next Day:

I just straightened it with a straightener, whereas she blowdried it straight-ish...I LOVE my new bangs!!!!

By the ways, I'm running for treasurer of my drama club! I'm going to make poster that say stuff like:

2+2=?

Do you know the answer? Kelly does. Vote Kelly For Treasurer!

Originally I was the only one running, but a certain friend of mine (who was first going to run for Vice President but then decided not to, since a girl who's going to be a senior next year is running) decided to run against me. Even though she insisted about 18 times that she was not running and that she would run for V.P. next year. Grrrr...oh wells...I guess may the best woman win!

I also DIY some purple paint splatter on some white keds and will definately have to take some pictures!

For Lack Of A Creative Title.

Hey guys!
Sorry for the long absence...the modem on our computer was messed up, so I've been without internet for 4 days! (before that it would be on for at most ten minutes and than die...so really its been more like a week!) We got it replaced today though, so I am backkkkkkkkkkkk! I'll have a real post tomorrow with my new haircut in it, but right now I've actually got to be going! =]

Oh, but I'll leave you with the following:
NO DOUBT'S GOING ON TOUR!!!!! HOLY MUFFIN!!!! EXCITEMENT! They were so one of my fav bands as a kid. And I do mean kid. I was like 7 and listening to them.

"No...I Don't Think You Should Dance By The Road. They Might Think You're A Prostitute."

So, I went to my lovely friend Meghan's (and her twin sister Morgan's) Sweet Sixteen last night! It was fabulous...we danced...and danced...and danced some more...and I got to talk to some awesome people that I haven't seen in years...
And I managed to rip the slit in the back of my dress right up to my butt. I had to wrap my friend's jacket around myself so I wouldn't look like a skank dancing. I ended up wearing a different dress than I originally had planned, because the other one's material would have made me SWEAT like crazy! This is what I ended up wearing...this lovely dress that was my mom's in the 80s with this amazing necklace!:Then today I wore it like this (although I changed a little while ago because my mom didn't want to have to get the dress dry cleaned!) I love these two patterns together and I love this picture!:

I'm getting my hair cut on Tuesday! It was supposed to be Saturday, but my hairdresser got really sick...I'll definately take some pics once I get it cut! But its not gonna be DRASTIC so don't get too excited.

Peace! =]

Theatre Geeks & Creepy Freaks!

Hi guys! Sorry its been so long, but my internet was down for 2 days! Ugh! And I was gone at Georgia Thespian Conference (better known as ThesCon) Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! It was soooooooo much fun! I got to see lots of great shows, including Alice In Wonderland, which was FABULOUSLY good, this show called The Incident At San Bajo (erm...i think that's how its spelled) which was quite intriguing, and this purely awful show that I nearly slept through (and my drama teacher nearly slept throught) that I will NOT mention the name of. That would be very rude of me...because I know I would hate it if another school was talking about how bad our school's show was...
I also got to run about a half a mile back to our hotel in pouring ran with our Thespian troupe. It was CRAZYYYY!

I bought some coolie stuff at ThesCon too!
A Shirt.
Elephant Earrings!

And this really pretty cross ring! (Sorry its sideways...my computer would NOT turn the picture...)

Haha, the band-aid's on my finger because I tried on a ring that was too small on that finger and cut my finger...I'm so brilliant... Almost everyone else I know got a ring with the drama faces on it, but I really didn't like any of them much...so I got that one!

I also made this gorgeous DIY necklace yesterday. I had a bunch of charms and pendants without chains lying around my room, so I took a bunch of them and strung a ribbon through them...and VOILA!

I just LOVE it! Also, I took a couple random outfit photos...the first I wore Sunday and the second I'm thinking of wearing to my friend's sweet sixteen! Right after we took the first photo it started SNOWING! It was FREEZING out! And we got a snow day yesterday because of it! I was so ecstatic because of how rare snow is in Georgia...

Peace out for now! Oh, wait one more thing! I was in Seventeen! I wrote in about how I liked seeing Pink on the cover and I'm in the Hair Traumarauma section, the one about yogurt in the hair...that's me. =]

I Hate The Way You Look Away, Not A Smile, No Thought Today.

First of all, I am VERRRRRRRRRRY happy Kate Winslet got an Oscar! I think she is an amazing actress, and I'm glad that finally she's being recognized for that. However, I really wish she had gotten an Oscar for her performance in Titanic. I watched that movie for the first time since 3rd grade a couple days ago and was amazed by how well she portrayed the part...and I bawled my eyeballs out...even though I already knew Jack was gonna die. =[ And the whole time I wanted to just throw Cal into the ocean. HATE HIM.

Also, has anyone seen Slumdog Millionare? Because I was thinking of renting it since it won so many awards....was it good?

Second of all, I am not dead =] (duh.) even though I've been missing for a few days...

Third, hilariousness I heard the other day at J.C. Penney:

Little Boy (to his Grandma): "...yeah my teachers get on to me all the time because I like to wear the shirt from my Halloween costume to school...and it has a cobra on it!"

It was the funniest thing because I expected him to say something BAD...oh man, what a cool kid. Wearing his cobra shirt! haha. I got a new dress that day too, but I haven't taken pictures yet...coming soon! =]

That's it for now! I reallllllly need to do my homework! =/

Funfun.

I've Changed Since Then, Yet You've Remained The Same

Unleashing My Inner Hippie Flower Child:

Sorry for lack of anything fashionwise in this post, but I've been sitting around being a major dork lately...playing Nancy Drew computer games, baking Magic Bars, and reading this amazing book about the Titanic written by survivors of the disaster. (I found it at this great used book store for $3. I was really excited because I have been FASCINATED by the Titanic since the 3rd grade. Me and some friends of mine even built a model of it for school.) Unfortunately, that means I have taken almost no pictures of my outfits...except the one picture above...which I took for this week's Weardrobe contest! =]

The skirt was actually made about...10 years ago(?) for my mom by this lady we went to church with when we lived in New York. She rarely wears it, but suggested that I try making an outfit with it...so I did! Note: I did NOT wear this outfit all day because I would have FREEZED my bum off...its only about in the 50s... However the outfit was just perfect and I had to take pictures of it. Or rather, my mom took pictures of it.

And one more thing! You guys HAVE to check out this website called Looklet. It looks like its going to be pretty amazing! Just put you e-mail in and they'll send you an invitation code. I got mine within a day!

The Truth Hurts Worse Than Anything I Could Bring Myself To Do To You.

Sorry its been so long guys...I've been busy...and a little lazy.
Well I did get a part in the play!!!! I get to clean gravestones while talking about dead people!!!! (ha. for real.) Its not a big part, but that was to be expected since its the last show for our seniors. =[ So they get most of the large roles. I also get to sing during the wedding in the show! Me and this guy Drew. That should be far more exciting. I just realized that I haven't even mentioned the title of the show....duhdurrrrr, its The Woman In White. We're doing the play version, but there is a musical to, and my teacher is trying to incorporate parts of the musical in our show...so during the wedding me and drew sing the song they used in the wedding...its very creepy actually...because supposedly the marriage is "doomed".
Here's the song: (only the part that's "The Holly And The Ivy")

The musical is by Andrew Lloyd Webber! He is just so amazing!

On another note, I did my own version of those paintballed shoes that I talked about a while ago. I think they turned out pretty coolie. I ended up using heels...this old beat-up pair I ruined during a play last year...I got the actual heels on them all scratched up.
Before:

After:

The paint (actually nail polish) ended up looking a lot less random then I intended because it WAS NOT dripping very well...but oh well! I still love them...especially since they're not exactly the same.

Agh! I have so many other random things I would love to talk about right now, but I don't want this to become any more long and ranty...as it has started to become...

So just ONE more thing. I promise. My accidently shredded tights. See they were some REALLY cheap drugstore pantyhouse and they got a tiny pull. And I pulled it. And it exploded. Then I was just like, "Oh well, might as well shred them to pieces." Sooooo...I did. =] Then I had to go to the school for class registration. And everyone was like, "Wow, what happened." Um...I got attacked!? They're just shredded tights!

Then I wore them over blue tights the next day...with this new pink dress my mom got me a Express for $10!

Ok. I'm done now. =] For now.

What's Your Opinion Of Random Words Like Triceratops, Dodgeball, and Hannah Montana?

My inspiration seems to have sort have flown out the window lately...
I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I've been very very BUSY!
I had a play I was in on Monday and Tuesday, auditions for a play Tuesday and today, and lots of lovely, bundles of fun SCHOOL WORK!!! Oh joy.
I got to speak Italian in the play on Monday and Tuesday which was really fun! I must have sounded quite authentic because several people came up to me and said,
"Are you fluent in Italian?"
And I was like,
"Er...no, not really."
The premise of my scene was that this guy went on this date with a girl and she doesn't speak English and keeps saying just "Yes" of "No". Until finally she bursts into Italian!

I found pics of my nails painted yellow and pink...however the pink looks really red-orangeish, but whatever...
I will leave you with video from Coffee House! With me "beatboxing" (ha. right...) and Omega "rapping". The whole premise (my parents didn't catch the very beginning...) is that Amanda (the girl who walks in at the end) couldn't find TJ (the guy who walks in at the end) and that she picked two "random" members of the audience to MC.
OKAY NEVER MIND!!! MY COMPUTER IS BEING A COMPLETE IDIOT!!!!
So maybe I'll have some video later...but not now as blogger is NOT loading the video. Grrrr....
I find out if I made the play tomorrow! Wish me luck...

I Wish I Had Left Your Hands Tied Together When I Had The Chance.

Ugh, I am SO exhausted right now! Unfortunately this post has absolutely NOTHING to do with fashion, just a basic narrative of, "I am not dead...this it what I've been doing..." post...

So if you'd rather not hear about my life...erm...stop reading here!

I had my mock trial competition this morning where I was a witnes...we would have made the final regional match, but even though my side (our prosecution team) did great....out defense got SLAUGHTERED! Then at 7:00 I was in Coffeehouse (which is sorta like a talent show-ish only cooler thing)...and had a BLAST MCing (although we didn't end up being secret agents...we sorta...well I'll show you guys later once I get video from a friend of mine...haha, we got to tie people up=])
Also, I am MADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD because I don't know if I got video of the last half of the show. and that's the best part...

Ok, I lied...tiny tidbit of fashion:
I am in LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE with the new Louis Vuitton collection with Stephen Sprouse! I have never in my life really liked anything by them, but this...just WHOA!
I just tried to find pictures of the collection I'm talking about, but ULITIMATE FAILURE!
I couldn't find them anywhere...if someone could help me out that would be fab!
